The Annie Lennox Collection is the first greatest hits album by Scottish singer-songwriter Annie Lennox. An Evening Of Nostalgia with Annie Lennox captures one of music’s most popular and acclaimed artists in her only full concert performance of songs from her Grammy-nominated Nostalgia album. Fronting a 19-piece band – including string and horn sections – and unveiling striking lighting and production elements created especially for this concert, Lennox demonstrates her distinctive vocal and performance talents on an array of classic American standards, ranging from “Summertime,” “Georgia On My Mind”, “Strange Fruit” and “God Bless The Child” to one of rock’n’roll’s most enduring classics, “I Put A Spell On You.”

This DVD, an expanded version of the Grammy-winning 1992 video companion to Annie Lennox's solo debut, belongs on the short list of long-form videos that achieve the stylistic and thematic cohesion of a great album. In its audio incarnation, Diva isn't tied to a formally structured concept, yet its songs probe a clutch of interwoven themes, oscillating between spirit and flesh as the Scottish singer muses over ruined relationships, vain ambitions, and quests for love and identity in alternately teasing and tormented performances. On video, director Sophie Muller loosely integrates the songs through overlapping imagery, allowing costuming, locations, or lighting to supply a dreamlike coherence in lieu of more conventional plot or character.

The 2004 Oscar winner for Best Song (from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King) is seen in her first U.S. solo concert, taped at the Central Park Summerstage in New York on September 8, 1995. Lennox performs such classics as "Sweet Dreams," "No More 'I Love You's'," "A Whiter Shade of Pale," "Waiting in Vain" and "Something So Right" as well as other tunes from her 1992 debut album, "Diva." Also includes four music videos.
